Is there something in your past that you wouldn't want anyone to know? Probably, if we are honest, everyone has something in the past that would cause shame, embarrassment, or guilt. The past may be present to you in the form of bad memories. You may even be bound to the past, unable to move forward in your life.
God can set you free from the past with a new beginning. He will forgive anything that you have done wrong. He will work in your life to reconcile and restore you. He has a future for you that is good, with a plan to bless you along the way.
Jesus died on the cross, that we may be forgiven for anything and everything that we have done wrong. Simply ask God to forgive you. But, here's the big question: Are you willing to forgive yourself? And, one more important question: Are you willing to forgive others?
The truth will set you free. That's the truth of God found in the Bible. The truth is God loves you. Christ Jesus died for you. God will forgive you. Most importantly, you can be free from your past. God will give you a new beginning. "And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (John 8:32, NLT). That's the way to find real freedom.
