God's Work in You

Do you truly believe the good news of Jesus Christ? Do you believe that He died for your sins? Do you believe that He is risen from the grave? If your answer is yes, be assured that God is working in your life. The Spirit of God has changed your heart. He has enabled you to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. "Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6).

Rest assured that God will continue to work in you. Remember, salvation is not your work for God. Salvation is God's work in you. It is the work of God in you by His grace and for His glory. He saves you to the praise of His glory.

A man said to a pastor, "I hope I've done enough for God, so I can go to heaven." The pastor assured him, "It's not what you have done for God. It's what He has done for you. That's called grace. That's God working in you." Jesus said, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent" (John 6:29).

False religion says, "I am working for God that He may be pleased with me." Faith says, "God works in me to the praise of His glory." God works in the believer through Jesus Christ. As a believer, God is "working in you what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ" (Hebrews 13:21).
