God calls you to faith in Christ. It's God's work in you, and He completes what He begins. "Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6). God's work in you is both good and complete in Christ.
So many people think that it's what they do for God. However, the Bible teaches that it's what God does in you through Christ. God will "make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you, what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ" (Hebrews 13:21).

Surrender your life to the grace of God in Christ Jesus. If you only look to yourself, you could easily fail and become frustrated and hopeless. Victory comes only from looking to Jesus Christ. He alone is the source and strength of your faith, "looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith" (Hebrews 12:2).
Your faith is by God's grace alone. So it is likewise with your assurance. Grace is God's undeserved favor in Christ Jesus. Only He can save you and keep you from falling. Yield your life to Jesus Christ to do in you, what you cannot do for yourself. Praise God and thank Him for what He has done in you to the praise of His glory.
