Your Sins Forgiven

Do you have assurance that all of your sins are forgiven?  Maybe there is just one sin that continues to make you feel guilty and unclean. God is not reluctant to forgive you through His Son at the cross. Through the suffering and death of Jesus, your sins are forgiven. "The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin" (1 John 1:7).

Through faith in Jesus Christ, you receive the promise of God that all of your sins are forgiven. When one particular sin plagues your conscience, you may confess that sin to God and take Him at His promise to forgive and cleanse you. Agree with God. Forgive yourself. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

What motivates God to forgive us? Nothing in us, nor anything we could do, causes God to forgive our sins. It is by grace alone, motivated by God's love for us in Christ. God's love for us is proven now and forever at the cross of Jesus. "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).

As a believer in Jesus Christ, you  are forgiven and free from all guilt. Thank God for His love and grace to you. Trust God's love in Christ, who died for all of your sins. God's love and forgiveness comes to you in Christ alone.
