The Knowledge of Faith

Education is focused upon knowledge of this world from the observation of things that are seen. It is the knowledge of science. Yet, there is another kind of knowledge based upon revelation. It is the knowledge of faith. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1).

Faith knowledge is based upon the Bible. God is revealed to us through the Holy Bible. Such knowledge brings us to faith in God. "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). This  knowledge brings to us the gift of the Spirit known as faith.

The word of revelation in the Bible gives us understanding that the world cannot receive. The world cannot know God, because they see Him not. We can only come to God by faith, "for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him" (Hebrews 11:6).

God must be revealed to us by the word of truth in the Bible, through the Holy Spirit. "Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God" (1 Corinthians 2:12). The Holy Spirit gives us faith through the knowledge of the Bible.
