Our Helper in Prayer

Have you been in situations where you did not know how to pray? Well, you're not by yourself. All believers come to that place. We need to pray; we want to pray; but, we don't know how. "For we don't even know what we should pray for, nor how we should pray" (Romans 8:26 a, NLT).

When you don't know how to pray, there's good news for every believer. The Holy Spirit within you is praying, and He knows just how to pray, according to God's will. "The Holy Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God's own will" (Romans 8:27, NLT).

When you reach that place where you really don't know how to pray, depend upon the Holy Spirit to pray within you. "But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words" (Romans 8:26 b, NLT).

God knows our limitations. He knows, when we don't know how to pray. He doesn't expect us to do what we cannot. Therefore, the Holy Spirit becomes our Helper in prayer. Perhaps, all we can do is groan, yet we know there is another one praying within us.
