Faith Knows God

It is said that knowledge is power. Life is about knowledge. Education is focused upon knowledge. It is knowledge from the observation of things that are seen. That's the knowledge of science. There is another kind of knowledge. It is based upon revelation. It is the knowledge of faith. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1).

Faith knowledge is based upon the word of God. It is the word of revelation. God is revealed to us through the word of faith. That word is found in your Bible. Such knowledge brings us to faith in God. That's how faith knows God.

"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). The word of God is the word of the Spirit. This word of God brings to us a gift of the Spirit known as faith.

The knowledge of faith gives us understanding that the world cannot receive. The focus of that knowledge is God Himself, as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The world cannot know God, because they see Him not. Faith knows God.

God must be revealed to us by the knowledge of faith, through the Spirit of God. "Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God" (1 Corinthians 2:12).
