Strength within You

There are people who say they would really like to be a Christian, but they can't live it. They admit being too weak to overcome temptation. The truth is that we are all weak. However, the believer in Jesus Christ finds strength in Him. Then, you can say, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).

Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to live in every believer. The Spirit of Christ works through you to strengthen you for every situation in life. The Holy Spirit is the strength for your life in Christ. He enables you to do the will of God. It's not your strength, but the strength of Christ in you.

When you trusted in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit came into your life. "Having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise" (Ephesians 1:13). The strength of Christ is revealed in you through the Holy Spirit. Most of all, you can be sure that Christ is with you through the Holy Spirit. Jesus says to you, "I am with you always" (Matthew 28:20).

Don't try to live the Christian life in your own strength. Trust the living Christ to work in you through the Spirit of God. Recognize your weakness, but always remember that Christ is with you. Without Him, weakness, temptation, and difficulty will defeat you every time. Through the Spirit of Christ, you have the strength you need. Strength from Christ makes all the difference. The strength you need is within you.
