Use Your Faith

As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, God gives you all the faith that you will ever need. The problem we often have is that we know not how to use our faith. As a matter of truth from Scripture, the only way that we can please God is by faith. God answers the prayer of faith. It's usually not needing more faith, but learning to use the faith that we have. "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves"(James 1:22).

According to the Bible, living faith acts on the word of God. People may talk about their faith, but if that faith does not act upon the word of God, it is dead faith. It may talk about the word, but it never acts upon the word. Therefore, it receives nothing from God. "Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead" (James 2:17).

Dead faith can pray impressive prayers, but it never receives anything. God is not looking for lip service. He is looking for people with living faith, who will act upon His word. It would be foolish for a man to sit in his car and ask God to start the engine. He has the key in his hand. He must turn the switch. Then, the engine can move him with power. God's power is available to every believer. Living faith is the key.

Have you noticed in the Bible, when Jesus healed people, most often he asked them to do something. That would be an action of faith. Use your faith. Act upon God's word. Dead faith says, "I prayed, but God didn't do anything." Living faith says, "I prayed and acted upon God's word." Use your faith.
