Voices are everywhere telling you what you should do. Those voices are heard from the radio and television, from friends and family. So many different opinions are heard from so many directions, that you could easily find yourself in confusion. Yet, there is one voice that will always tell you the truth and lead you onto the right path. It is the voice of love. When you hear the voice of love, you hear the voice of God, for "God is love" (1 John 4:8).
Listen to love to know the will of God for your life. You need not wait for a dream or vision. Don't search for something sensational. Simply listen to the voice of love. Understand that love is the will of God always and forever. Do you want to know God's will of purpose for your life? It's just this simple. It's about loving God and loving others. Love is the theme of God's will, because "God is love" (1 John 4:8).
Do you want to be able to pray with faith, seeing God work in your life and others? Listen to love. Understand that faith always follows love. Don't seek great faith. Seek the greatest gift of all. That is love, "and the greatest of these is love" (1 Cor. 13:13). When you are filled with love, you will always be filled with faith.
To listen to love, you must know love. To meet love, come to the cross of Jesus. That's how much God loves you. See love hanging on the cross, taking your sins and punishment, dying in your place. You see "love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). Listen to love.
