The Joy of Life

So many people are restless and have no joy in life. Joy are not for sale. No amount of money can buy joy. However, some people always seem to have joy in their lives. What makes the difference between those people and others? Do you have joy in your life?

How may we have joy in this life? It comes only from a relationship with God. The kingdom of God brings "joy in the Holy Spirit" (Romans 14:17). The world cannot give you real joy. It's all about a personal relationship with God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. The kingdom of God is the will of God. When we submit our lives to God's will through Jesus our Lord, joy is a fruit of that relationship.

When a believer goes astray, joy may be lost temporarily. When we confess our sins and submit ourselves to God's will, the joy returns. David is an example in the Old Testament. He strayed from God's will. Yet, he repented and cried out to God, "Restore to me the joy of your salvation" (Psalm 51:12).

Losing our joy is a sign that we are on the wrong road. We have detoured from the right way. However, that joy can be restored. When our relationship is made right with God, joy is restored. The joy of life is God's will for you.
