Your conscience speaks to tell you the difference between right and wrong. Conscience may not be welcomed in the lives of many. Conscience never lies. Conscience speaks the truth, even if you don't want to hear. Conscience speaks silently to your heart. Conscience is your friend to help you find the right way.
Those who don't want to hear conscience turn a deaf ear. Often people try to turn off the voice of conscience. Still, there are those moments when conscience speaks, "their conscience also bearing witness" (Romans 2:15). Conscience is your friend, trying to help you find the right way.
Conscience is given to everyone by God, because He wants us to find the right way. God created us as free moral agents. We are accountable to God for our choices in life. Conscience bears witness to a day coming when we will all be judged. Conscience says we are responsible to God for our actions. "God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ" (Romans 2:16).
The Holy Spirit uses conscience to convince us when we have done wrong. He also seeks to convince us that we need Jesus Christ to forgive all our sins. Christ died for our sins. When believers confess their sins to God, we are cleansed from all sin. "The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin" (1 John 1:7). Find a clean conscience in Christ.
