As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, God gives you all the faith that you will ever need. The problem we often have is that we know not how to use our faith. As a matter of truth from Scripture, the only way that we can please God is by faith. God answers the prayer of faith. It's usually not needing more faith, but knowing how faith works. "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves"(James 1:22).
According to the Bible, faith works according to the word of God. People may talk about their faith, but if that faith does not work, it is dead faith. We may talk about the word, but never act upon the word. "Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead" (James 2:17).
Dead faith can pray impressive prayers, but it never works. God is not looking for lip service. He is looking for people with faith that works, who will act upon His word. It would be foolish for a man to sit in his car and ask God to start the engine. He has the key in his hand. He must turn the switch. Then, the engine can move him with power. God's power is available, but we must know how faith works.
Have you noticed in the Bible, when Jesus healed people, most often he asked them to do something. That's how faith works. Use your faith. Act upon God's word. Dead faith says, "I prayed, but God didn't do anything." Know how faith works. Then you can say, "I prayed and acted upon God's word."
