"Trust in the LORD with all your heart" (Proverbs 3:5). Do you trust God when problems come your way? He is trustworthy. You cannot have a meaningful relationship with anyone without trust. That includes God. When you trust God more and more, you are on the way to spiritual maturity. How is that accomplished? When you trust God through trouble and trials, He is working in your heart.
Trust grows over the years from your experiences with God. You trust in the name of the LORD, His covenant name. He makes covenant promises for all who trust in Him. When you trust God, you discover that all of those promises recorded in the Bible are trustworthy.
God will allow you to be in circumstances which are trying and difficult. He is not punishing you. He is allowing you to learn to trust Him more. During the ordeal, you may be very uncomfortable and anxious, but when you trust God, you discover His faithfulness.
Learn that God is trustworthy through all of life. If you are in a difficult time today, read God's Word to know His promises. When you trust God, one day you will look back and know that He meant it for good. Oh for grace to trust Him more.
