God has made thousands of promises for us in the Bible, yet not one of those promises can be received without faith. So many people think the Bible is only a book of ancient stories that has no relevance for us today. They may even read the Bible without seeing anything in it for them. They simply don't have the key to the promises of God. "So that's why faith is the key! God's promise is given to us as a free gift"(Romans 4:16, NLT).
All of the promises of God are locked to those who believe not. Unbelief means the door to God's promises will not open. They may read the promises in the Bible or hear a preacher talk about the promises of God. Yet, they must honestly admit that all sounds good, but it doesn't work for me. They will not receive the promises of God.
God's promises are freely given to all who will believe and receive. There is only one person who can make the promises of God real to you. His name is Jesus. He has the key of faith to all the promises of God. "We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from start to finish"(Hebrews 12:2, NLT).
Faith simply receives the promises of God in Jesus name. Faith in our Lord Jesus Christ is the sure way to receive all the promises of God. "For all of God's promises have been fulfilled in him. That is why we say 'Amen' when we give glory to God in Christ"(2 Corinthians 1:20, NLT).
