Love Your Enemies

Jesus teaches you to love your enemies. You may think that makes absolutely no sense. Why should you love your enemies? Only when you understand how God's kingdom works will you understand.

Before you can really love your enemies, God must change your heart. Please note, when you love your enemies, most people will not understand you. They will witness your compassion and kindness. God will use you as a witness to his goodness and grace.

How could you show God's love to your enemies? It must be practical in doing something good for them. Helping them in a way that they would never expect from you. The Bible teaches us to overcome evil with good.

Rest assured that God will reward you, as you do good to your enemies. The greatest reward could be God using you to change someone's life. Your compassion for your enemies is certain evidence that God has changed your heart.

"Love your enemies! Do good to them! Lend to them! And don't be concerned that they might not repay. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to the unthankful and those who are wicked. You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate" (Luke 6:35-36, NLT).
