Who are the called? Those who are the called have responded to the gospel in repentance and faith. They have repented or turned from their old sinful lifestyle to God by faith in Jesus Christ. Their call was effective. Their hearts are changed by the grace of God. Certainly, the call of the gospel is for all to respond, but not all do. The called have responded.
Are you one of the called? You may ask, how can I know for sure? The Bible makes it clear that you can know with assurance. It's all about Jesus. The called have discovered both the power of God and the wisdom of God in the Lord Jesus Christ. They are called out of darkness into the light of Jesus Christ. They are called into fellowship with God through His Son.
The called experience the power of God in changing their hearts through the gospel. They trust Jesus Christ as Lord. They have the love of Jesus in their hearts. To the called, Christ is the wisdom of God. Their worldview is focused upon the Lord Jesus.
If you are one of the called, thank God for giving His Son for you. Glory in the grace of God in Christ Jesus. Continue to focus your faith, hope, and love in Christ. For Christ is your wisdom. His power works in you, conforming you more and more into His likeness.
