God's Power in You

God's power is at work in you. Most of the time you may not be aware of how God works in you as a believer in Jesus Christ, and "what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power" (Ephesians 1:19).

Nevertheless, God's power is working in you, when you know it and when you don't. God's power works in you through the Holy Spirit; "you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise" (Ephesians 1:13). Don't make the mistake of thinking that you always have to feel God's Spirit working in you.

The primary work of God's Spirit within you is "to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge" (Ephesians 3:19). A person may have much knowledge, even knowledge of the Bible, without "being rooted and grounded in love" (Ephesians 3:17). Knowledge without love is knowledge without the power of God.

God's power "in Christ should be to the praise of His glory" (Ephesians 1:12). God's power leads you to worship Him. Take the focus off yourself. Place the focus upon Him. He will make you aware of His presence. That's God's power in you.
