Faith Thanks God Now

A certain Christian was depressed. He was without a job, facing a financial crisis. He had asked without seeing any visible results to his prayer. A friend with the same problem said to him, "We need to thank God for what He has done for us in the past, but we also need to thank Him by faith for what He shall do for us."

Thanksgiving exercises your faith. Doubt says, "God has helped me in the past. Maybe He will help me now." Unbelief says, "If there is a God, why should He help me?" Faith says, "I will thank God now for what He shall do." Faith knows the power of giving thanks. It is the power of God to provide.

Thank God for what you have. Everything you have is a gift of God. That includes every heart beat and every breath of air. Gratitude is a virtue. Complaining seldom helps. Thank God now for what He has done for you.

Let me challenge you to go a step further. Thank God for the good things that He is going to do in your life today and in your future. Praise Him for His goodness. Trust the goodness of God. Faith never waits to see what will happen. Faith offers thanksgiving to God now, because you know He is good. Exercise your faith now, as you thank God. Do it, and see what God will do.

"Therefore by Him let us continue to offer the sacrifice of praise to God,
that is the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name."

Hebrews 13:15
