My old friend, Jake Hess, sang the song, "God Takes Good Care of Me." Before Jake passed away, he told me about a lot of health issues. Through it all, God took real good care of him. That's the testimony of all God's children. We may go through hard times and difficult circumstances, yet God will take good care of us through it all.
One of the beautiful metaphors in the Bible is the Shepherd and the sheep, which describes the way God takes good care of His children. Sheep are totally dependent upon the shepherd for everything. So are the children of God. We can surely depend upon Him to care for us with loving kindness and tender mercy.
Our God is the way, when we don't know the way. The Shepherd leads us to green pastures and still waters. He protects us, feeds us, and leads us. All the sheep must do is to hear His voice and follow Him. God takes good care of me, of you, and all His children. Life is simply trusting the Shepherd and following Him.
