Can you think of a time when you were afraid and didn't know what to do? That's a common experience in life. When you are afraid, it's a time to call upon God for his help. It's not God's will for his people to be terrified and afraid.

You may not know how to find God's help when you are afraid. God's word and Spirit can enable you to overcome dread and fear. God delights in speaking to you through the Bible. There are so many promises for you as a believer to be encouraged, that you may overcome all fear.
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love" (1 John 4:18).
God's Spirit is able to deliver you from all fear. The Holy Spirit produces fruit in your life as a believer in Jesus Christ. The number one fruit is love. It comes first because God is love. The Bible teaches that God's love will cast fear out of your life.
