Life was good, because God made all things good in the beginning. It was man who sinned, and brought evil into the world. All the goodness we know and experience comes from God, because God is good. For the Lord is good (Psalm 100:5).
The goodness of God leads you to repentance (Romans 2:4). When you discover how good God is, you change your mind about sin and evil. You know that you can really trust God, because you know that He is always good. Trust God's goodness in your life. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him (Psalm 34:8). Life is good, when you see that the Lord is good.
Life is good, when you trust that God is working all things together for your good. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). That does not mean bad things can never happen to you. It does mean that God can bring good out of all things, according to His purpose.
Life is good, when you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. God's goodness lives in you. Trust God's goodness through the Holy Spirit to work in you. But the fruit of the Spirit is . . . goodness (Galatians 5:22). God's Spirit bears the fruit of goodness in every believer. Give Him all the glory. You can trust God's goodness.
