God never forgets his promises. He is faithful to his word. His word is a bond of assurance with all who believe. Your faith is built upon the trustworthy promises of God. They are covenant promises, sworn by the oath of God. Jesus is our covenant surety of each and every promise.
The assurance of your salvation is based completely on trusting the promises of God. The Bible is filled with God's promises. Prayer is answered by simply asking God to do what he has promised. God is faithful to perform all his promises. Jesus our Lord is the Yes and Amen to all God's promises. "For all the promises in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us" ( 2 Corinthians 1:20).
Pray the Word: Great is your faithfulness, O God my Father. By faith I stand upon your faithfulness. You are faithful to perform all your promises, through Jesus Christ my Lord. Yes and Amen.
Do the Word: Read the Bible with attention to the promises of God. Underline them. Believe them. Memorize them. Pray them back to God. Pray in the name of Jesus, who is forever the Yes and Amen (so be it) to all God's promises.
