Why Does God Forgive?

Why does God forgive us? Nothing in us, nor anything we could do, causes God to forgive our sins. It is by grace alone, motivated by God's love for us in Christ. God's love for us is proven now and forever at the cross of Jesus. "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). That's why you are free from all guilt.

As a believer in Jesus Christ, you  are forgiven and free from all guilt. Thank God for His love and grace to you. Trust God's love in Christ, who died for all of your sins. God's love and forgiveness comes to you in Christ alone. Trusting God through Jesus Christ is receiving love and forgiveness.

Pray the Word: God, I confess that I have sinned. I receive Your love and forgiveness at the cross of Jesus. I thank You for loving me so much through Christ.

Do the Word: Believe that Christ paid the full debt of  your sins at the cross. If you doubt God's love for you, remember Christ crucified. That's how much God loves you. Thank God for loving you enough to give His Son to die for your sins. Share God's love with others.
