Jesus said, "If you abide in my word, you are my disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:31-32). Truth has power to make you free from deception, false teaching, and fear. God's truth will make you free from all that robs you of love, joy, and peace. Truth brings freedom. God's word is truth.
The Bible is the word of God, revealing the truth of God. Truth is the basis for your faith, the reason for your hope, and the confidence of your trust in God. Knowing the truth brings faith. Assurance from the truth gives you hope.
God wants you to know the truth. He sent His Son into the world to reveal the truth. His life and teaching, love and compassion, death and resurrection, gives you the truth about God. Jesus has power to change your life. Jesus said, "I am the truth" (John 14:6). Be free today through the truth.
