Your Prayer Requests

Jesus gives every believer authority in prayer. He who has all authority in heaven and on earth, said, "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son" (John 14:13). That authority is always to be used to glorify God the Father through the Son.

Jesus gave a wonderful promise to believers who pray in His name. He will answer to glorify God the Father. To pray in Jesus name honors the position of Christ as our Mediator with God the Father. He is the only Mediator between God and man. "For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).

As a believer, pray in Jesus name to bring glory to God. Anything that does not bring glory to God misses the purpose of prayer. The goal of prayer is to bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. You may ask for anything and everything that will glorify God in Christ. Then you are praying according to the will of God.

Consider your prayer requests. Ask the same question about each one. Will this bring glory to God through Christ? If the answer is yes, ask in Jesus name. God will answer. Be sure to give God all the glory. Praying in Jesus name always brings glory to God.
