God sends an invitation to you to call upon Him. He promises to respond. The promise is not for only a few. It's for all. He invites anyone to call upon Him. That includes you. "Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be delivered" (Joel 2:32).
Faith calls upon God as LORD. The word LORD speaks of God's rule over all. There is no evil that is beyond God's power to deliver you. You may say, "Sure, God can deliver me, but will He?" That question is answered in understanding that God is good. He is not only powerful enough to deliver you, but He is good enough to do so. "For the Lord is good" (Psalm 100:5).
God makes promises to man. He promises to deliver those who call upon Him. His promises are proven forever through Jesus Christ, who is God incarnate. He is the Lord Jesus Christ. "For the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him" (Romans 10:12).
The Lord is the God of deliverance. Those who call upon Him are delivered from the condemnation and power of sin. They are delivered from evil and the evil one. God forces His deliverance on no one. He offers His deliverance to all. He listens and responds when you call upon Him. Call upon the Lord. God will deliver you. Faith calls upon God.
