Maybe you have tried to change your life and failed. You may have attended church and said your prayers, but your life has not changed. Perhaps, you have tried harder and to do better, but that has not changed your life. Or, you may have decided that your life cannot be changed.
God can change your life. He makes it a real change. The God who made you is the God who can change you. God changes you by the power of His Spirit. God says to you, "I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you will keep my judgments and do them" (Ezekiel 36:27). God's Spirit within you changes your life. You are enabled to walk in God's good will.
God's Spirit makes you a new person. God's Spirit gives you new understanding, as well as new desires and emotions. Where you did not understand the gospel of Christ, now you understand through a renewed mind. Where your former desires were toward sin and rebellion, now you desire to please God. Where your emotions were self-centered, now you are touched by God's love and goodness.
God changes you to the praise of His glory. Give Him all the glory for your conversion. Realize the purpose of your life is to bring glory to God. God changes you from within, by His Spirit, for His glory. "For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever" (Romans 11:36).
