The Fullness of Life

By the fireplace in that house, you could see a beautiful basket. The craftsman had done such a work of art. Yet, when you look closer, the basket was empty. That describes the lives of so many. They want to look good on the outside, but on the inside they are empty.

A basket is made to be filled and used for a purpose. The Master himself crafted your life, not just to look good and remain empty. He desires to fill your life with love, joy, and peace. He wants to use you for his good purpose. You have a choice to live life as empty and without purpose or to be filled with purpose and bring glory to the one who made you.

Ask God to fill your life with his presence. That always means love, joy, and peace. Ask God to fulfill his purpose in your life. Yield your life to the one who made you and loves you. He will use you in ways that you may not have thought possible. He will give you purpose that you can find fulfillment in life. Jesus said, "My purpose is to give life in all of its fullness" (John 10:10, NLT).

Your life in God's hands means that he can move you to places in his purpose and plan. If you are not satisfied with your life now, it may be because you are empty and without purpose. Life does not have to be that way. There is a better way. Call upon God and ask him to fill your life with his power and purpose. "Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God" (Ephesians 3:19, NLT).
