As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, He works in your heart. That is your mind, will, and emotions. The Spirit of Christ came into your heart when Jesus became the Lord of your life. He has changed your heart to know Him in a very personal way.
The Spirit of Christ is in your heart to renew your mind. He transforms your mind to understand spiritual things that are taught in the Bible, "by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:2). The Spirit of Christ is your teacher, giving you more and more understanding through the Bible.
The Spirit of Christ works in your heart to give you new desires. You desire to grow in your faith and serve the Lord. You can be sure "it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13). Consider what good things the Lord has put in your heart. Serve Him with all your heart.
The Spirit of Christ works in your heart, touching your emotions. You may be moved with compassion to help others. Perhaps you will feel a burden to pray for someone. Remember that the Lord does work in your heart, and that includes your emotions.
