Live in Harmony

There is a rhythm to life that brings harmony like a piano in tune. Your life can get out of tune and everyone notices. When you get out of tune in one area, it affects your entire life. Harmony in relationships with others is a key to a happy life. "Live in harmony with each other. Don't try to act important, but enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don't think you know it all" (Romans 12:16, NLT).

Don't try to act more important than others. If you choose that attitude, others will quickly notice. If we only try to network with the so-called important people, others will quickly notice. Our attempts to get ahead of others by knowing and cultivating friendships with "just the right people" will get our lives out of harmony.

If you are bent on being smarter than everyone else by knowing everything about everything, you will soon be out of harmony with others. It's not how much we know or even who we know, but it's about being in harmony with others.

Harmony for a musician comes by keeping his eyes upon the director and following his moves. Only then will all the musicians harmonize in a grand sound. God is our director in life. Following his lead will bring harmony.
