Focus Your Faith

Would you say that you have strong faith in God? Many people would say, yes I have faith in God, but it's not as strong as it should be. Your faith may be strong or weak. It all depends upon the focus of your faith. Strong faith in God is properly focused.

When you know how to focus your faith, it becomes stronger. Without that focus, your faith will never become stronger. The focus of faith is the key to greater confidence in God. Remember how we receive faith from God. "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). The word of God through the Bible is the solid foundation of true faith.

A building under construction must have a good foundation. If it is to be a tall building, it must have a stronger foundation. So it is with your faith. The stronger your spiritual foundation means the stronger your faith shall be. The practical application is this, the more understanding you have of the word of God, the stronger your faith is sure to be.

The focus of faith is trusting God's word of promise. It means your focus is on the only one whose word never changes, and his promises are eternal. The focus of faith stands upon the solid rock of God's word of promise. His word changes not. And, remember this, "The grass withers, and the  flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever" (Isaiah 40:8).
