Faith and Doubt

Faith and doubt have never been friends. Doubt makes you reluctant and even fearful to have the fullness of faith in God's word. Doubt is a roadblock that must be removed from your mind. It blocks the full flow of God's blessings designed for you.

Confront doubt for what it really is, sin against God. Doubting God's word is nothing but sin. It dares to question the truthfulness of God, asking, "Has God really said?" Doubt tempts you, saying, "You are too smart to believe that." Doubt appeals to pride. Challenge doubt with truth. Jesus said, "If you abide in My word, you are my disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32).

As you read the Bible, may the Holy Spirit deliver you from doubt and increase your faith. When your faith increases, doubt will be dismissed. Remember the source of your faith. "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17).

Be honest to God about your doubts. Confess them to him in prayer. He already knows your every thought. Trust God the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth. Doubt is dismissed with God's truth. Faith finds a solid foundation upon the truth of the Bible.
