Know Your Ability

God made you with the ability to do certain things that some others cannot do. You may not have the ability to be a great athlete or musician. That's okay. Don't try to be what you are not. Be who God made you to be. Know your ability.

Most people discover their God given ability over time and through experience. Consider what you like to do and what comes easy for you. God puts a passion in your heart to exercise an ability that brings enjoyment and fulfillment. It's something that you know that you can do. It brings joy to your life.

Whatever ability God gives you, do it to the glory of God. He has given you a talent or gift to be used for His glory. Your ability is a grace gift. It is not something that you can do because you have tried so hard. To the contrary, it's a talent or ability that He put within you. "Do it with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ" (1 Peter 4:11).

Use your ability as a talent or gift for the glory of God by serving others. God wants to use you to serve people. Those who do have found their purpose in life. They have a zeal and enthusiasm in using their ability for God and others. Don't miss that joy. Know your ability. "Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them" (Romans 12:6).
