Pray God's Promises

How can you know for sure that God will answer your prayers? One sure way to know is through Scripture. The Bible reveals the will of God. That includes the promises of God. Prayer that stands by faith on the promises of God is sure to be answered. God's promises are true and trustworthy. "God, who cannot lie, promised" (Titus 1:2).

Prayer is asking according to God's will. "Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us" (1 John 5:14). The word confidence is a synonym for faith. You can only ask in faith and confidence, when you know that it's God's will.

Pray according to the Spirit of God, who certainly reveals the will of God. "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law" (Galatians 5:22-23). These words describe the way God works in you.

Yes, God will answer your prayers, when you pray in His will, according to His word of promise. Make the Bible your prayer book. Prove the promises of God as you ask with confidence. God will answer your prayers as well as anyone else, because "God shows no partiality" (Acts 10:34).
