Your Prayer Life

Prayer in Jesus name is your way to the Father. Your prayer life is not based upon your self-righteousness, but His righteousness. Your prayer life is not based upon your authority, but His. Your prayer life as a believer is based upon the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me" (Matthew 28:19, NIV).

To pray in the authority of Jesus is always to pray according to the will of God. When you ask anything according to God's will in Jesus name, you can rest assured that the answer is on the way. "This is the confidence we have in approaching God; that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us"(1 John 5:14, NIV).

You may ask, how can I know the will of God? You will find it written in your Bible. The word of God is the will of God. Read the promises of God for all who believe. Pray the word of God with authority. When you stand on the promises of God, you are standing on the promises that cannot fail.

Your prayer life is not about your self-righteousness, nor your choice of words, nor some secret formula to persuade God to do your will. Your prayer life is about the relationship of God the Son with God the Father. You enter into that relationship by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The name of Jesus is your authority in prayer.
