Living for Others

You need the support of other people from birth until death. Others need your support. You find that needed support through family, church, and friends. Living for others is when you serve God and  minister to others. Your influence and example is a blessing to others.

God gave you life to live for Him and others. He wants to live through you in a personal relationship. It's a relationship of love and trust. A relationship with God brings peace and joy. Also, a relationship with God always includes others. That's life lived for God and others.

The life of Jesus was lived in a way unlike any other. The reason is obvious. He lived for God the Father and others. He surrendered His will to the Father's will. He served others, and even died for others. His life is eternal, forever for others, unlike any other. Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10).

Living for God and others is empowered by the Holy Spirit. He is the Spirit of Christ, transforming our lives to live for others. The Holy Spirit fills the life of every believer, as we yield to Jesus our Lord. He fills us with the love of God, that we may love others. "The fruit of the Spirit is love" (Galatians 5:22). That's love in a life lived for God and others.
