What Faith Sees

Faith sees what others cannot see. Faith sees God. The natural eyes of man sees the sun, moon, and stars above, but only faith can see the One who made all things. Natural eyes can only see in the physical realm. Faith can see into the spiritual realm. Faith is "seeing Him who is invisible" (Hebrews 11:27).

Unbelief says, "Faith does not live in a real world, because faith lives in a world of make believe." Faith remarks, "Unbelief does not live in a real world, because God did not create a world of make believe. He makes all things that people may believe." Unbelief is proud to be blind before God.

Faith sees what God has to give us. Then, faith immediately receives it now. "By faith we understand" (Hebrews 11:3). God gives Himself to us through Christ and in the Spirit. "God is love" (1 John 4:8).

Unbelief does not believe in love. Unbelief cannot see love. Faith sees love in Christ crucified. "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).

Faith not only sees love, faith receives love. "The love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us" (Romans 5:5). Unbelief will not receive love, because unbelief cannot see God's Spirit. What faith sees, faith receives.
