When God guides you, then you are led by the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God lives in the heart of every true believer in Jesus Christ. The Lord is your Shepherd, leading you in the right path day after day. The Bible makes it clear that God guides you. "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God" (Romans 8:14).
God leads you through the Holy Spirit working in your heart. God leads believers through the fruit of the Spirit. The fruit includes love, joy, and peace. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace" (Galatians 5:22). God guides you by love. When you follow Him, then you love God and others. God guides you with joy. When you refuse to follow, joy evades you. The Spirit of God guides you with peace. It is "the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding" (Philippians 4:7).
Being led by the Spirit is a daily choice. God will not force you to follow Him. However, there are only two choices. One is to follow the Lord. The other one is to go astray. Even when you go astray, God is there to guide you back into the right way.
Follow God's guidance today. When you follow the Lord, you discover love, joy, and peace. When you don't follow, then you doubt God's love, miss real joy, and replace peace with confusion. The choice is yours. The results are very predictable, when you are led by the Spirit.
