Don't look back now, but God's love is pursuing you. There's an important reason why love pursues you. It's because you were made for love. It's a strange thing, but most everyone looks everywhere for happiness, not knowing that it is received with God's love.
So many people run from God's love because they doubt its reality. Rather, they think that God's love is a myth at best, and a cruel joke at worse. They are willing to travel with fear, but they run from love. Fear has power over them, because they are afraid to receive God's love.
God's love does not give up on you. People reject God's love again and again. They think it's too good to be true. Yet, God's love continues to pursue them. God's love tracks them, ready to embrace them with joy, faithfulness, kindness, goodness, and peace. Pride says to them, "You are too smart to believe in love." Fear warns them, "It can't be real. If you trust love you will be disappointed."
Love patiently waits to be received. Love will never force itself upon you. Yet, love stands there, ready to fully embrace you, and ready to embrace you forever. All of your life, love has pursued you, and even today, love continues to pursue you. Receive God's love, and know that "God is love" (1 John 4:8).
