The Bible is a book filled with God's promises to you. They are not empty promises, because they are the sure promises of God. He does not lie. "God who cannot lie, promised before time began" (Titus 1:2). God's promises to you are steadfast and sure.
A personal relationship with God begins with this promise to you. "Whoever calls upon the name of the LORD shall be saved" (Joel 2:32; Romans 10:13). Your name is whoever. That includes everyone. You can have a personal relationship with God. Call upon Him. He will save you.
Your relationship with God continues with this promise to you. "He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). God works in the life of every believer. He works faith, hope, and love in your life as abiding gifts (1 Corinthians 13:13). What God starts, He finishes.
Every promise of God is for you as a believer in Jesus Christ. "For all the promises of God in Him are Yes and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us" (2 Corinthians 1:20). Your faith and hope are based upon God's promises to you. As a believer, the promises of God are to you.
