Those Who Trust God

Those who trust God do not depend only on what they can understand. So many people simply cannot trust God, because they only depend on what they understand. Our understanding is so limited, but what God can do in our lives extends far beyond our understanding. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart; lean not on your own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5).

Those who trust God rely upon him, depend upon him, and put their faith in him. You can do that when you really believe that God is always trustworthy. He will never lead you into error, nor direct you down the wrong path. "In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:6).

Those who trust God believe his word. The Bible is God's word written for all who trust him. It is God's covenant word. He promises with an oath to perform his word in your life. LORD is God's covenant name. It's his personal name. He wants a personal relationship with you day by day, as you walk with him in his word. Believe his promises. Trust his word.

Those who trust God believe his providence is at work in their lives. He works in the details of our lives. His providence is guiding us, when we understand and when we don't understand. He has a plan for our lives. He leads us as a shepherd leads his sheep, and he will direct our paths.
