Christmas is a time of joy for many people. It's a time for doing good things for others. It's a time for gathering with friends and family. It's a time for worship and praise to God for the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Joy is the strength of life. When joy is missing, the strength of life dissipates. Restored joy brings renewed strength. Joy comes by relationships with significant people in your life. Joy comes from renewing old relationships. Also, don't forget, a real relationship with God is the joy of life.
This is your invitation to joy: "I bring you good news of great joy for everyone! The Savior, yes, the Messiah, has been born" (Luke 2:10-11, NLT). Everyone includes you. Don't miss the joy. He is the joy of life.
Knowing Jesus in a personal relationship is the joy of life. His presence in your life is joy. That joy is found in your heart. His joy permeates your mind, will, and emotions. Surrender your life to Him. Invite Him to work in your life. Christ is the joy of Christmas. He is the joy of life.
Your relationship with family and friends can bring joy. What about your relationship with God? He is your ultimate source of joy. Refuse to be disconnected from others who can bring joy to your life. Don't withdraw from others. Connect with others. Most of all, connect with God who gives "great joy for everyone!"
