It's important for you to have a sense of direction in life. Unfortunately, life can become confusing without clear direction on the way. On any journey, you must know where you are, and where you want to go. Do you have a sense of direction in life?
You may think, I don't know what to do nor which way to go. None of us do without a guide. You need a guide in your life, someone who knows the way and will lead you in the right direction. Allow me to recommend the best guide. It's God himself who will lead you like a shepherd leading his sheep. Understand, sheep left to themselves have no sense of direction. They must have a shepherd to lead them.
When the LORD is your Shepherd, life is a journey with direction, leading you to the right places at the right time. God knows your needs. He leads you in a timely fashion. You need not worry about the right direction. He is the way. He is with you always. He provides for your needs. You can say, "The LORD is my Shepherd" (Psalm 23:1).
When God is your Shepherd, you can trust him to guide you day by day. All you have to do is follow. Sheep are led by the shepherd's voice. They know his voice and follow him. He leads them with peace. So the LORD will guide you with his peace. Let his peace in your heart be the sure guide."He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams"(Psalm 23:2, NLT).
