Living in harmony with others has much to do with your success in life. It has to do with your personal happiness in life. Of course, we all meet some people who are difficult to live with, but most people are not that way. The Bible gives us wisdom on living in harmony with others.
"Live in harmony with each other. Don't try to act important, but enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don't think you know it all" (Romans 12:16, NLT).
Don't try to act more important than others. If we choose that attitude, others will quickly notice. If we only try to network with the so-called important people, others will quickly notice. Our attempts to get ahead of others by knowing and cultivating friendships with "just the right people" will get our lives out of tune.
If we are bent on being smarter than everyone else by knowing everything about everything, we will soon be out of tune with others. It's not how much we know or even who we know, but it's about being in tune with God and others.
Enjoy the company of other people, even if you don't agree with them on everything. If it is possible, live in harmony with others. This is important in your family, on the job, with your neighbors, and certainly in the church.
