Trouble comes to all of us. I hope you are not facing trouble today. If you are, God just may use it to bring a blessing to you. When you are in times of trouble, you may realize your need for God. There is good news. He is your safe place in trouble. The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9).
You are more likely to pray in times of trouble. Also, you are more likely to ask others to pray for you. It's in times of serious need that you are more likely to see your need for God. The Bible teaches that God will help you in times of trouble. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Fear often attacks you in times of trouble. Faith can be your main resource to overcome fear. Faith must believe that God cares about you. He really does love you. Love never refuses to help someone in need. Talk to Him about your troubles. There you will find your safe place.
In times of trouble, you may respond in one of three ways. First, you may be tempted to panic and give up. Secondly, you may think you are smart enough to figure a way out of trouble, even if it means compromising your faith and values. There is another way, a better way. Call upon God for His help. When trouble comes, God is a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
