Prayer is designed as the way for you to receive from God. He desires to answer your prayers and respond to your requests. Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart's desires (Psalm 37:4, NLT). Learn this secret. God puts good desires in your heart. Pray them back to God.
When praying your requests unto God, expect to receive. Expectation is the confidence of trusting in God. Faith expects God to respond to our prayers. Expect God to answer your prayers. Certainly, there are times when God does not grant our requests, because he has something better for us. Expect to receive your good heart's desires from God, in his time and according to his good will.
Expect to receive from God according to the promises of the Bible. There are thousands of promises in your Bible. Those promises are for all who believe. Remember, believing is receiving. Faith receives from God. If you order something in the mail, you expect to receive it. Faith expects to receive from God.
Faith never tells God what to do. He always knows what to do and when to do it. Faith receives from God, because he has promised. Faith expects to receive from God, because he is good. He loves to give to his children. Jesus said, If you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him (Matthew 7:11, NLT).
