Life is filled with uncertain days. The Lord never promised that you would not be tried and tested. No believer is exempt from hardship nor difficult days. Yet, you are sustained by the sure promise of Jesus Christ. He is with you always, and don't forget the word always.
You may easily believe that the Lord is with you when things are carefree and comfortable. However, the promise is sure through all the experiences of life. He is with you on the mountain, as well as in the valley. He is with you in sickness and in health. He is with you through the good days and the bad. Always is the key word.

A man who wasn't a believer, said to his wife, "I don't understand your faith. You believe that God is with you. How can you know that for sure?" She smiled and said, "You're right. I know that the Lord is with me always. He promised, and He doesn't lie. I take Him at His word." The man was not satisfied. He replied, "But how do you know that He's really with you? You can't see Him." She responded, "Faith is the evidence of things not seen. If I could see Him, I wouldn't need faith."
