Don't Get Discouraged

Discouragement is your enemy, lying to your heart, saying that good things happen to others, but not to you. Discouragement has only one goal in your life, that is to get you to give up. Don't listen to discouragement. That voice does not come from God. "So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time" (Galatians 6:9, NLT).

God wants to encourage you today. He will give you opportunities to do good. He wants to use you to bless others, and in turn, you will reap a harvest of blessing. Notice who He brings your way today. Open your eyes to the needs of others, open your heart to the hurts of others. You are on assignment. Someone needs your encouragement.

Refuse to give up, unless you give it up to God. He can bring good out of every situation. No circumstances are hopeless with Him. He is with you each step you take today. He walks with you. Say, "No" to discouragement. Say, "Yes" to God's good will.

Your Bible tells you, "Don't get discouraged and give up." Don't agree with discouragement. Agree with God. In prayer, give your discouragement to God, saying, "Father, it's not your will for me to be discouraged. I give it to you. I receive your encouragement."  God responds, saying to you, "I will never fail you. I will never forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5, NLT).
