Fellowship with God

Looking above the fireplace and mantle, I see the big picture of our four grandchildren. When I see the picture, it's a reminder to pray for each one. Yet, there is something more, I think about happy times when they are here in the house with us. We talk with them and enjoy their presence. That is so much better than looking at the picture.

So it is with God our Father. He wants fellowship with each one of his children. He loves us so much. Real joy for every believer is fellowship with our Father above. He walks with us and talks with us. How does that happen? We talk to our Father in prayer about all the concerns of our hearts. He talks with us through his word in the Bible.

You may think, I'm a believer, but I'm not good enough to fellowship with God. That's true for all of us, because we have all sinned. However, our Father above has made a way for every believer to live in fellowship with him. It comes through his Son Jesus our Lord, who died for all of our sins. As we confess our sins to God our Father, he graciously forgives us and cleanses us.

God our Father is ready for fellowship with you today and every day. He is with you always, and that means right now. Talk to him. Tell him your problems and burdens. Ask for his help. Enjoy your fellowship with God. Walk in the light of his love. Experience the joy of fellowship with God today. "And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ" (1 John 1:3, NLT).
